Biography

Sam is a passionate classical guitarist whose love for his craft has moved and inspired many in his performance and teaching career. He was awarded the prestigious John McEnary Memorial Music Scholarship in 2024 and is also a recipient of the Richard Denner Memorial Scholarship. Sam has captivated audiences with numerous performances, including appearances at The Orange County Guitar Circle at Chapman University, the American Guitar Society at Los Angeles Valley College, and the Vietnamese Classical Guitar Society at the Vietnamese Studies Institute. His extensive repertoire includes solos, duets, quartets, and ensemble performances from 2019 to present at Orange Coast College. Currently, Sam studies under Dr. Adam Pettit, who received his doctorate from the USC Thornton School of Music. Sam specializes in romantic and Spanish classical/acoustic guitar and also enjoys playing casual pop music.
