Biography

Sasha Ortega is a vocalist and songwriter based in Southern California. She graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies, with a concentration in performance. While in school, she sang in the renowned groups Pacific Standard Time and the Bob Cole Chamber Choir. She is a proud recipient of the Ella Fitzgerald Foundation Scholarship. She has received a Downbeat Student Music Award for Vocal Jazz Soloist, and recognition for Outstanding Musicianship at the Reno Jazz Festival.

Sasha spends her time playing original indie music or in funk-jazz jam bands around Orange and LA County. Stemming from a strong foundation in jazz and classical education, she has expanded into pop, rock, and folk instruction.
